Hello. I hope your day is going well and as I can see you're reading this post then let me take you through a short summery of the project I have made for CFR. Crossfit Rossendale is a newly established gym and with its professional genre being of a masculine essence I have shown this in the colours and block-like logo-type. It is a place of friendly staff and so the curvature of the weights to the CFR text, shows this design aesthetic.
In most brand identities pulls out the place name of their brand to emphasise where it is promoting it's services. I have done the same feature for R in Rossendale and it used with a white that is subtly finishing off the logo with small piece of white on the weight mechanism. As I designer and as many people know, this is enough for a logo and you know the saying 'less is more'. Rossendale is in the north of England and it is a place which inhibits more greenery. This is a reflection of the green and with gyms being a place of detoxing your body to a neutral state, we know that nature inhibits these characteristics as well.
Because the foundation is a setting stone of what I have just established it lends itself naturally to the rest of the work which we will explore in social media, digital marketing. To explore the rest of the brand I have found it quit hard to stylise this logo because of not wanting to loose the original intent of the weights with the text having such big to small scale of shapes formed and the brand name forming the benchmark of the weights themselves. Now the design is formed below with the first step of introducing the text only. We know these days this is enough and so as my first stage of brand development to this logo I have left it as it is.
